There were 273 new cases and 17 deaths reported at today’s COVID-19 daily update. The number of hospitalizations have increased by 3 since yesterday.

The Governor announced today that the state is setting a goal to complete 180,000 tests for the month of September.
The Department of Health is reporting that 78.9% of all patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in the state have recovered.
It was also reported that 95.5% of deaths attributed to COVID-19 in the state listed other contributing factors.
Leading contributing factors included hypertensive diseases, diabetes, ischemic heart disease, heart failure, and cerebrovascular disease.
