There were 791 new cases and 8 deaths reported at Thursday’s COVID-19 daily update. The number of hospitalizations is down by 4.

The Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI) announced it will release the number of active cases in individual cities on the center’s website www.achi.net.
The number of antigen tests and results were released today. Since June 11, 5,084 antigen tests have been conducted in the state. Of those, 548 were a presumptive positive.
The Governor announced he is authorizing 14 additional members of the National Guard to assist the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH).
ADH announced it is eliminating the requirement for testing for patients undergoing elective surgery. The decision will be left up to the individual physician and institution.
The Governor said he will make an announcement tomorrow concerning contact sports for the fall.
