There were 817 new cases, 6 deaths, and 12 additional hospitalizations reported at today’s COVID-19 daily update.
The Governor announced today he will sign an executive order mandating face coverings. The order will become effective on Monday.
It will mandate face coverings for indoor and outdoor settings for exposure to non-household members where 6 feet of distance cannot be assured.
There are several exemptions including those for children younger than 10 years of age and for those with a medical condition or disability that prevents a face covering.
A violation of the directive is a misdemeanor offense and could result in a fine of no less than $100 and up to $500.
