There were 572 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Arkansas in the last 24 hours. The Department of Health also reported two additional deaths and 19 additional hospitalizations. Of the new hospitalizations, 9 are patients at the Arkansas State Hospital.

The Governor while we currently have enough hospital capacity to adequately meet the needs of Arkansans, we do not want to strain the staff. Masks are the one tool we have to reduce the spread of the virus. He said wearing a mask gives us the ability to move in public and will make a difference for us.
It was announced today that former Governor and former U.S. Senator David Pryor is being treated at UAMS after testing positive for COVID-19. His wife, Barbara, has also tested positive but is recovering at home.
