There were 678 new cases reported today of which 669 are in the community. This is the largest number of active community cases reported in a single day.
Of the reported activity from active cases in the last 14 days, 2% say they visited a restaurant, .6% visited a barbershop, 2% went to church, .3% visited a daycare, .3% visited a gym, 2% visited a clinic or dentist, and .4% visited a hotel or motel.
The Governor there is not a correlation between lifting restrictions and an increase in cases.
The Governor said today he is asking Alcoholic Beverage Control Board officers to report any restaurants or bars not complying with the guidelines to the Health Department.
During today’s briefing, the Governor reviewed hospitalizations by regions in the state. Northwest Arkansas has the most COVID-19 hospitalizations with 123. When it comes to ICU beds still available, Northwest Arkansas has 42, Northeast Arkansas has 32, Central Arkansas has 60, Southwest Arkansas has 18 and Southeast Arkansas has 18.
