Of today’s new 314 cases, Washington County accounted for 86 and Benton County accounted for 41. All other counties with new cases reported 20 or fewer. Pulaski (18), Sabine (11, Sebastian (11), and Sevier (11) make up the top six counties.
Governor Hutchinson noted that the daily positivity rate isn’t a useful number since it only reflects the positivity rate for tests completed by the state. For this reason, Governor Hutchinson will no longer be reporting a daily positivity rate, but he did confirm that the overall positivity rate is at 6%.
Secretary of Health Dr. Nathaniel Smith reported that the state has seen more than 4,000 tests completed per day each day of June, except for June 1. To date, we’re at 28,862 tests for the month of June, which is well on track of the state’s goal of 120,000.
