Of the 358 new cases reported today, 111 were from Washington County, 92 were from Benton County, and 34 were from Pulaski County.
There were 9 additional deaths announced today, but Health Secretary Dr. Nate Smith says some of the deaths were just recently reported and not all passed away in the last 24 hours.
The Governor said he has asked for a breakdown on testing by regions of the state. This will be used to assess criteria to meet for Phase 2 of re-opening businesses. He said he expects to make a decision next week and is considering the possibility of allowing specific regions of the state to enter Phase 2 at separate times.
Since June 1, more than 12,000 tests have been conducted in Arkansas. Currently, we are on track to meet the goal of 120,000 tests conducted during the month of June.
