Of the 1068 active cases in Arkansas, Health Secretary Dr. Nate Smith says 378 are in correctional facilities, 99 are in nursing homes and 591 are in the community.
The Governor announced today that bars affiliated with restaurants can open tomorrow with restrictions to be issued by the Arkansas Department of Health. Free-standing bars (those not inside restaurants) will be allowed to re-open on May 26 with restrictions.
On Saturday, 550 people were tested in Forrest City. In the last 24 hours, 2329 tests have been conducted statewide. Dr. Smith says the state testing rate now stands at 290 per 10,000.
The application site for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance was taken offline over the weekend while security concerns are being investigated. The Governor said today the FBI is investigating and a third-party security expert will be reviewing the site before it goes back online.
