- Health Secretary Dr. Nate Smith says he spoke with CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield who was very pleased with Arkansas’ results.
- Since yesterday, 2,174 test results have returned with a 3.7% positivity rate. There are 97 new cases today, 30 of those are from correctional facilities.
- The number of recoveries is up by 758 from yesterday, resulting in 710 active cases in the state.
- The Governor reminded Arkansans that we are currently in Phase 1 of the Opening Up America Again guidelines. In order to begin Phase 2, Arkansas must not see a resurgence in cases for 14 days.
- The Department of Health will soon be issuing guidelines for casinos in the state to conduct limited operations. The casinos will be allowed to open to 1/3 capacity beginning May 18.
