· Of the 1094 cases of COVID-19 confirmed, 253 of those patients have recovered. There are 841 active cases at this time.
· Three more Arkansans have died as a result of the virus. The total number of deaths is now 21.
· A previous projection model from the University of Washington indicated Arkansas would have close to 150 hospitalizations at this time. Currently, 73 are hospitalized.
· The press conference today largely focused on mental health for Arkansans during this time. UAMS Department of Psychiatry Director Dr. Rick Smith recommends pausing and taking deep breaths several times a day. He also urged Arkansans who were being treated for mental health or substance abuse issues to continue their treatment during this time.
· The Department of Human Services says every Arkansan has the ability to access mental health or addiction service. If you do not have insurance or Medicaid, you can call the hotline at 844-763-0198.
