· There are now 946 cases of COVID-19 in Arkansas, an increase of 71 from Monday afternoon. The positive cases include 134 health care workers and 61 nursing home residents. There have been 2 additional deaths since yesterday.
· In the last 24 hours, more than 1,400 tests have been conducted in the state.
· When compared to surrounding states, the Governor said Arkansas has the lowest hospitalization rate. Currently, 2.5 per 100,000 Arkansans are hospitalized due to the virus. In Missouri, that number is 7.1 per 100,000 and in Louisiana, the number is 39.9 per 100,000.
· The Governor says he amended the public health emergency executive order to give cities more flexibility when it comes to curfews and restricting access to city parks.
· The Arkansas Department of Health says it will issue guidance this afternoon for retail stores concerning social distancing and best practices.
· A team from the CDC is arriving tonight at the federal prison in Forrest City where 24 inmates and 5 staffers have tested positive for COVID-19.
