A total of 174 cases has now been confirmed in Arkansas. This is an increase of 9 from Sunday.
The Governor announced the state has ordered 2 million personal protective equipment (PPE) units. We expect to see a portion of that ordered delivered later this week.
The individual taxpayer deadline has been extended from April 15 to July 15 to mirror the federal extension. Corporate and estimated tax payments will remain the same.
As a result of that extension and current business lay-offs, the revenue forecast for the current fiscal year has been reduced by $353 million.
The Governor intends to call a special session to address the reduction in revenue for the current fiscal year. A date has not yet been scheduled.
Health Secretary Dr. Nate Smith says he intends to issue a directive for hair and nail salons and tattoo shops in the state to temporarily cease operation.
