On Thursday, the House passed HB1496. This bill amends the law concerning abuse of an athletic contest official by making the offense a felony if serious physical injury occurs.
The House also passed the following:
HB1479-This bill would prohibit the purchase of or acquisition of title to agricultural land by a governmental entity of the People’s Republic of China.
HB1599-This bill increases the annual contribution limit for state political action committees from $5,000 to $10,000.
HB1600-This bill repeals the law concerning the display of campaign literature on vehicles of candidates for public office or public officials while on State Capitol grounds.
SB195-This bill clarifies when parents’ rights no longer attach regarding safe haven infants.
The General Assembly will take an extended recess next week. The House will reconvene on Monday, March 27 at 1:30 p.m.
