House members began the 6th week of the 2023 Regular Session on Monday.

The House passed HB1325. This bill states that if a county board of election commissioners decides to hold early voting at an additional polling site, the hours the additional early voting polling site is open shall be the same hours as the county clerk's designated early voting location.

Other bills passing the House on Monday include the following:

HB1352-This bill addresses the law of sealing the record for felony convictions. It would require a 10-year waiting period for individuals with a felony offense of driving or boating while intoxicated before petitioning the court to have their records sealed.

HB1006-This bill states that an employer that covers abortions or travel expenses related to abortions for employees shall provide 12 weeks of paid maternity leave to eligible employees.

SB100-This bill allows law enforcement officers to transport a person to a sobering center if they are under the influence of an intoxicating substance or have substance abuse issues. Currently, the law only provides for transport if an individual is under the influence of alcohol.
