The House voted in favor of eight resolutions this afternoon which will allow non-appropriation bills to be introduced during this Fiscal Session.
Amendment 86 states that if the General Assembly is to take up any bills outside the scope of the budget during a Fiscal Session, they must first approve a resolution describing the bill by 2/3 vote in both chambers.
The House adopted eight such resolutions this afternoon. Identical resolutions were adopted in the Senate.
The majority of the resolutions adopted today address changes to the State and Public School Life and Health Insurance Program.
The House will convene again on Wednesday at 1 pm.
