On August 27, 2017, Governor Asa Hutchinson created the Arkansas Women's Suffrage Centennial Commemoration Committee (WSCCC) to lead the state's remembrance of the women receiving the right to vote. The committee works with the people of Arkansas to plan activities, conduct research, and otherwise expand the understanding and appreciation of the significance of women's suffrage in Arkansas.
At today's WSCCC Kickoff Event, the Department of Arkansas Heritage unveiled a micro website for the Arkansas Women's Suffrage Centennial within their own site, which includes historical information about Arkansas women's suffrage, a timeline, resources, and events.
